Every check runs free and cites the public record it read. Some checks stop there — the finding is the whole of it, and there is nothing to buy. Where we prepare a fix, it costs a flat $19, never a percentage of what you save, so we’re never quietly rooting against it. No subscription, nothing to cancel, and nothing sent until you approve it.

A prepared fix is an argued request to a counterparty who is free to say no, and we will not charge you for a "no". After you send it, forward your next statement — one that shows the period it covers, usually printed near the top of the first page, so we can tell it apart from the one we already read. We check it against the charge you asked to have waived, and if that charge is still there we refund the $19. You don’t write in to claim it and there is no window to miss: the check stays open until you send the statement, and the follow-up we draft when the answer was no is free.

If a check finds less than $57 a year, we don’t offer a fix at all — a flat fee against a finding that small costs more than it returns. You still get the finding and its sources, free.
